Book Quote:
"So there are three possibilities...Number one - you were there and won't admit it.  Number two - you weren't there, and Gordon and Nat are in cahoots.  And number three?  They saw somebody who looks exactly like you."  - Chapter 2, p 22

Review:
Laurie Stratton has a loving family.  It's true she doesn't look like either of her parents and doesn't seem to have inherited either of her parents looks or their artistic talents like her younger siblings. She has always accepted these oddities and never questioned her place in her family, but when people start claiming to see Lauri in odd places and Laurie herself begins to feel as though she's being watched, she begins looking for answers.  The truth reveals a long-lost twin sister with a supernatural power that wants to do more than just get to know Laurie.  Her twin sister's appearance complicates Laurie's new inclusion into her island town's popular clique as the girlfriend of Gordon Ahearn. Torn between discovering more about her past and maintaining a perfect present, Laurie will discover who her real friends are as her twin's intentions become increasingly sinister.
VERDICT is this is an eerie read good for any teen reader who likes a little supernatural mystery.  Most people will figure out what Laurie's twin is after before Laurie does, but the creative storyline will keep you reading until the end.
